meu iasi 2018
The Law Students’ Association within the ”Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University from Iași (ASDUAIC Iași), in partnership with BETA e.V. – Bringing Europeans Together Association, has the tremendous pleasure to announce the start of the preparations for the second edition of Model European Union Iași.
After the outstanding success of the first edition, MEU Iași 2018 aims to perpetuate the tradition through creating a proper framework for the simulation of the decision – making process of the institutions of the European Union, this time within a context marked by multiculturalism. Therefore, we endeavour to bestow upon the participants, both Romanian and foreign young people, the opportunity to experience the procedures and functioning of the Parliament and the Council of the European Union, while further consolidating their knowledge about European politics. The second edition of MEU Iași will take place between March 14th and 18th 2018 and will advance for the debate two key topics on the current European agenda: A. Council regulation – on the establishment of the European Public Prosecutor’s Office and B. DIRECTIVE OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL – on certain aspects concerning contracts for the supply of digital content. The call for applications for MEU Iasi 2018 will be launched on November 2nd 2017.
The enrolment fee will amount to 20 euros, covering the costs related to accommodation meals and a part of the social activities, whereas the participants will have to cover their transportation costs individually. We kindly invite you to follow our Facebook page ( and also our website ( for the latest updates related to the development of the project.
